L&A Equipment Ltd. has been in existence for over 50 years and is currently managed
by Todd & Darren Schnurr. They combined have been working for the company for
more than 30 years, starting out at the bottom and moving up to equipment operators
and now running the company.
L&A has a good working relationship with different levels of government including
the Municipality, the Ministries of Forestry and Fisheries, Land and Water BC and the
Ministry of Highways.
L&A has broad range of work experience, including environmentally sensitive stream
work, road building and deactivation, golf course construction, development of
subdivisions and municipal road construction and sewer pipe installations.
In 50+ years in the industry we have earned a reputation of reliability and integrity.
Clearing
L&A has the equipment and the qualified personnel for clearing, falling and tree removal on all types of terrain. With safety as a first concern we are aware of all possible dangers on a project and ensure the proper procedures are in place to complete the job correctly.
Road Building
L&A has done a variety of projects from activating and deactivating logging roads, cross ditching, and installing bridges. We have constructed new roads in extreme conditions, including the Culliton Creek Project. We have worked with drilling and blasting companies, completing test holes, rock removal and crushing.
Gravel and Quarry Development
Our extensive background in Quarry development over 35 years enables us to setup and maintain all aspects of a project. The knowledge and experience we have in this area allows us to be very competitive.
Crushing
With our Mobile Crushing and Screening Plant we are able to get right where we need to be to get the job done right. Our equipment can produce a wide variety of products as required directly on-site to ensure the project is completed in a cost effective and timely manner. We have all the support equipment required for loading and placing the aggregate produced.
Sub Division Development
L&A has been involved in all levels for a variety of Sub Divisions in the Squamish area including The Falls by Solterra, Skyridge on Tantalus Road and the W. Dowad Sub Division. These projects including dike work, retaining walls and ponds as well as site services. We are currently working on Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the Tantalus Road Sub Division in Squamish. This includes clearing and blasting, crushing materials, lot layout and road building, and installing all on site and off site services.
The different size and types of work we are involved in with show how versatile our company is. With our experience in coordinating various job sites at once, we are able to utilize our equipment to the best advantage.
